Tips For Perfect Makeup Look For An Intimate Weddings
A makeup guide for intimate weddings explains how to create a bridal look without a professional artist at every function. It covers foundation, bronzer, blush, eye makeup and lipstick, with suggestions for coordinating application and colour choices.

Intimate weddings have their own charm. Get your makeup on point for your special day to add to that charm.

Makeup

The wedding market is constantly evolving, with more and more couples opting for a non-traditional approach. There's a new vibe going on, and as cliché, as it may seem, it's a warm fuzzy feeling! Everyone is buzzing because they are spending time with their favourite people, and you can obviously sense the love. Because it's a special event, expect more love from everyone.

Yes, it depends on your preferences, but smaller weddings are usually more cost-effective than larger ones. The smaller the venue, the fewer the individual features and, in particular, the catering prices. The expenditures normally increase as the number of guests increase. If you're on a tight budget, an intimate wedding may be the way to go. We all deserve a flawless wedding that is absolutely as we dreamt about it to be. Intimate ceremonies and lesser budgets might have made you opt for not having an HMUA for your at-home festivities. But you can still look on point with these makeup tips and tricks. Whatever option you select, you can rest assured that this adventure will be one to remember.

For The Foundation

  • It's also crucial to hides patches or imperfections with a concealer. Use a coloured concealer, such as yellow or green, to cover the reddish blemishes on your skin to lighten it up. Do a trial beforehand to check which shade works best for your skin tone.

  • Use a makeup brush or a sponge to apply a foundation without SPF and blend it well. Apply the foundation to the other parts of the face starting in the centre and blending outwards. A foundation with a matte finish is also a wonderful choice. It's best to avoid using a foundation with SPF because it will give your face an unflattering 'flash' effect in images. On your wedding day, you won't be spending much time in the sun anyway!

  • Use a highlighter on the higher planes of the face, such as the cheek bones, the bridge of the nose, the centre of the forehead, and the Cupid's bow, to give the appearance of radiance.

For The Bronzer

In photographs, bronzer is typically used to strongly contour the face and make it appear chiselled and sharp.

  • Apply using a blush brush, ideally angular, to the sides of the chin, but not the centre, with strokes.

  • Apply with the same method to the sides of the forehead, as well as the two parts of the nasal bone, but not to the top.

  • Suck your cheekbones in and lightly apply bronzer to the top section of the contours, towards the ear. However, make sure it does not run the length of the contour.

For The Blush

  • A cheek stain works great if you have oily skin. Even if you sweat a lot or have oily skin, stains look dewy and last a long time. Apply a small amount at a time because it's difficult to blend out once it's set into your skin (thus the name!).

  • Creamy formulas are suitable for normal or mixed skin and have long-lasting power. Cream blush is simple to apply, comes in a variety of colours, and gives skin a fresh, youthful appearance.

  • Stick to a powder formula if you have dry skin. Powder blush is fantastic for gliding over pores for a blurring effect, and stains and lotions, contrary to common opinion, aren't great for dry skin: When they dry, they can crack, exacerbating the appearance of dryness.

For The Eye Shadow

  • Gold eye makeup is popular among Indian brides because it complements their red, magenta, or green lehengas, ghagras, or heavy saris. This is the colour you use if you want to play it safe.

  • To create a delicate, smoky appearance, paint your eyelids with a gold or peachy pink tint and apply charcoal shadow on the outer lid contours.

  • Use a brown shade on the inner crease to obtain this look. For the brow bones, you can simply use golden eye shadow instead of silver.

For The Eyeliner

  • On your wedding day, keep clear of brown or blue eyeliner. It's preferable to use a plain jet-black liner that's also waterproof.

  • Draw a thick line on top and a heavy line on the lower eyelid with a strong kajal, smudging it all the way to the outside corner for that added pop.

  • Don't forget to use mascara that boosts volume. Mascaras with curled brushes are terrific for curling your lashes.

  • Use artificial lashes to draw attention to and open up your eyes, making them look fuller and brighter.

  • Remember to do some trials prior to the wedding day to guarantee that there is no space for error on the big day.

For The Lipstick

  • If your lips are thin, choose a shade that almost matches your skin tone to line them along the natural line.

  • If your lips are plump, use a deeper colour to line the natural lip line.

  • Use lipstick that goes well with the rest of your ensemble.

  • For larger lips, go for maroon or dark red, while for thin lips, go for peachy pink or light pink.

  • People with thin lips should use lip plumper instead of lip gloss, while those with large lips should use simple lip gloss, concentrating more on the centre of the lip.
