Miss Diva Cosmo 2025 Avani Kakekochhi marked an important moment in her journey by bringing together technological innovation, social responsibility and purpose-driven leadership with the launch of RiGas, an innovative LPG management system, at a press conference held in Bengaluru. The launch reflects her commitment to advancing LPG safety awareness and promoting preventive solutions to help protect households, institutions and communities.
The product was inaugurated by Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and guests at the Laghu Udyog Bharati Karnataka Auditorium in Bengaluru. As director of Supram Technologies and Services Pvt. Ltd., Avani has worked on RiGas, a technology-led approach to LPG safety and management. Designed to support LPG risk alerts, improve emergency preparedness and facilitate cylinder tracking and replenishment, the system aims to address safety concerns faced by LPG-dependent households and establishments across India.
Guided by the philosophy, “Every Home Deserves Tomorrow,” RiGas forms part of a wider social impact initiative focused on building awareness, encouraging prevention and promoting timely responses to LPG-related risks. An important part of this effort is raising awareness about 1906, India’s LPG leak emergency helpline number, so that people know whom to contact during an LPG emergency. By encouraging more people to remember 1906, Avani hopes to make the number as familiar as 100 and help households respond more confidently when faced with a gas leak.
Speaking about the launch, Avani said, “Today is a very important day for me as I launch RiGas, an innovative LPG management system inspired by a deeply personal experience. I lost my aunt in an LPG-related accident, and the loss left me devastated. However, it also gave me a purpose: to work towards a solution that could help prevent gas leaks and protect other families from similar tragedies. Through my project Suraksha, I am taking a step toward that vision by launching RiGas. I also want to make people more aware of 1906, India’s LPG leak emergency helpline number, and make it as familiar and recognisable as 100, so that people know where to turn during an LPG emergency. This journey is deeply personal, and I hope this initiative contributes to creating safer homes and protecting lives.”
As Avani prepares to represent India at Miss Cosmo 2026, her work with Project Suraksha and RiGas adds a meaningful dimension to her journey. Through this initiative, she hopes to raise awareness of LPG safety, encourage preventive practices, and highlight technology's role in protecting lives. As she takes her message to an international platform, Avani aims to champion a cause rooted in personal loss and driven by the hope of creating safer homes and communities.
